About Mösern

The village above the Inn valley.

Small, sunny, with a view

Mösern belongs to the municipality of Telfs but lies up on the plateau and therefore in the middle of the Seefeld Olympic region. The village has a few hundred inhabitants, a church, an inn — and a view many people drive up for.

Our Wilderer Nest stands here. From the balcony the Inn valley lies before you, opposite the Mieming range and the Hohe Munde.

The lake and the bell

Ten minutes on foot through the forest lies Lake Mösern — small, quiet, warm enough to swim in high summer. A path runs around it; in autumn it is one of the finest spots in the area.

Above the village stands the Peace Bell of the Alpine Region, one of the largest free-swinging bells in Europe. It rings every day at 17:00. From the terrace beside it you can see as far as Innsbruck in clear weather.

Close to everything, without being in the middle of it

Seefeld is five to ten minutes by car, Innsbruck around 25. The three-kilometre A1 night trail through the Mösern valley also starts there, at the Seekirchl. It begins in Seefeld, not in the village of Mösern.

For skiing you go to the Gschwandtkopf or the Rosshütte, both in Seefeld. For summer walking you start either towards Lake Mösern or drop down into the Inn valley.
