In detail
The questions we get asked most about getting here.
By car — which route?
From the north via Mittenwald and Scharnitz, or straight along the Leutascher Strasse. From the south via Zirl and the Zirler Berg road to Seefeld, then on to Leutasch. Both roads are cleared all year.
Do I need a motorway vignette?
For the approach on the Inntal motorway, yes. Coming via Mittenwald needs none. The Zirler Berg road is toll-free but steep — closed to caravans.
Winter tyres?
From 1 November to 15 April Austria requires winter tyres as conditions demand. Leutasch sits at 1,136 metres and often has snow when the Inn valley below has none. Come on winter tyres.
